MF Böhm 2023

[work in progress] MF Böhm italic emerges from the Dictionnaire historique et critique written by Pierre Bayle, printed in the Netherlands by Michel Böhm in 1720. From the printed lead type set in approximately 9 pt, Mathis Borel revivaled the Roman, and I, the Italic. Close to the model, we still allowed ourselves a personal interpretation. For instance, ascenders and descenders are shorter to get a contemporary look. The italic terminaisons are cut, the curves tight, the angles sharp. [See here the study of the original book]
