[work in progress] MF Böhm italic emerges from the Dictionnaire historique et critique written by Pierre Bayle, printed in the Netherlands by Michel Böhm in 1720. From the printed lead type set in approximately 9 pt, Mathis Borel and I did a revival of the Roman and the Italic. Close to the model, we still allowed ourselves a personal interpretation. For instance, ascenders and descenders are shorter to get a contemporary look. The italic terminaisons are cut, the curves tight, the angles sharp.
